If you are here to further your education, I am here to help and guide you on your journey!
Natalie Milom, LCSW
As an EMDR therapist, consultant, and trainer, I focus on Racial and Relational/Attachment Trauma, helping clients and therapists understand how childhood trauma and racial trauma shape relationship patterns.
I help clinicians refine case conceptualization, apply EMDR effectively to complex relational dynamics, and build confidence in treating attachment wounds.
My approach is practical, evidence-based, and focused on real-world application to support deeper, lasting change.

UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS OF EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly effective therapeutic approach developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s to address trauma-related symptoms and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Over the years, extensive research has demonstrated its effectiveness in treating a wide range of psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, phobias, panic disorders, and complex grief.
This EMDR helps individuals process distressing memories that contribute to negative self-perceptions and emotional responses. Unlike traditional methods that focus on managing daily symptoms, EMDR targets the underlying causes, facilitating deeper and longer-lasting healing.
