My Research

My research centers on Black love, racial trauma, couples distress, and poverty as trauma, and over 15 years of experience working with couples, families, and high-performing professionals.

Experience

Prior to founding Potential Realized, I served as Chief Executive of two nonprofit organizations and held senior leadership roles within mission-driven institutions. I secured multimillion-dollar federal grants, led strategic planning initiatives, and guided organizations through national accreditation processes. This executive leadership background informs my systems-level thinking and my commitment to sustainable, high-quality clinical practice.

In addition to serving professionals and systems, I specialize in working with Black couples and high-achieving individuals navigating relational distress, attachment wounds, racial stress, and unresolved trauma. My clinical work integrates EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment science, and nervous system-informed interventions to support deep, sustainable healing.
